New Urban Decay Primer Potion - Now in Squeeze tube!

Urban Decay finally changed the bottle of their world famous Primer Potion!

It's the same product, but now on a tube instead of the curvy genie bottle.

Now it comes with 25ml more than its original packaging and it is available at Sephora for $29.

I think it will take some time before it's available over here, but I am really happy that they changed the packaging.

Isn't that great news?

Bargain Alert!

2 for €30

This post is for Irish beauties looking for a great bargain!

The Body Shop Ireland is having an incredible offer: any two body butters or scrubs for €30!

They normally retail for €17.95, so being able to get them for €15 is great!

I love their body butters & scrubs. I'm currently using the Moroccan Rose and it is amazing. It has a floral scent that lasts for hours and it has a light texture - doesn't leave greasy feeling and it deeply moisturizes the skin.

Have you ever used The Body Shop body butters? If so, what's your favourite?

Benefit - Autumn Winter Collection 2010

Benefit will launch in ROI (September/October 2010) an array of amazing new products!

Those are already available in the US and you can buy them online on Benefit's website

Prrrowl - $28.00

A double-ended gadget that contains an iridescent mascara top coat in one end and a lipgloss on the other!

Porefessional - $28.00 / €33.50

Porefessional is already available in ROI/UK counters.

This is a duo-action primer that promises to diminish the size of pores. You can even use it over your make-up to do touch-ups during the day! It has a skin tone colour and consistency reminds me of Smashbox primer.

I've tried this one at Benefit's counter and I have to say it is amazing! I can't believe how soft the skin felt and it really diminishes the size of pores. I just think it is a bit pricey, so I'll wait for my next trip and grab this one at the Duty Free!

Girl Meets Pearl - $30.00
It's a highlighter described as a "liquid pearl for your face". It cointains moisturizing ingredients to nourish your skin and delivers a beautiful sheen to cheek bones, forehead and cupids bow.

Magic Ink - $20.00
A true black eyeliner with a very thin brush for precise application.

I'm already excited to play with those products, I would be keen to check the perfomance of Porefessional.

What about you? Is there anything in the collection that caught your eye?

Make Up Store Madeleine Holographic Nail Polish

Make Up Store - Madeleine. 2 coats and no top coat.

I am delighted that I finally found a holographic nail polish! I never paid too much attention to Make Up Store nail polishes before, but I went to their counter over the weekend and I am so impressed by their colours and the quality of the nail polish!!

This nail polish dries extremely quick - if you apply the polish slowly, it drags the colour and you end up with holes. I found it bit tricky at first, but once I realized that I needed to apply the nail polish with very quick brush strokes, application was very easy.

This formula is different than regular nail polish and it is amazingly easy to clean up!

I only had to apply 2 coats of the nail polish for complete coverage. I've read few posts about other brands where you need 3-4 coats of hologram nail polish to completely cover your nails properly.

I took a few more pictures this time so you can see how the hologram colour changes

This is a real fun colour!

So, what do you think about holographic nail polishes?  Is it a Yea or Nay?

Girls Night Out - Eye Make Up Tutorial

This is a very simple look, with some beautiful sparkle!

1 - Start by applying a primer. This will intensify the colour of the shadows. Using a concealer brush from No7, apply MAC Painterly all over the eyelid.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot

2 - Next, using The Body Shop Mineral's eyeshadow brush, apply MAC Naked Pigment on the browbone

3 - Using Coastal Scents Pencil Brush, apply the dark shade of Baked To Last eyeshadow in Sage from The Body Shop onto the crease. Go only half way through doing a C shape. You can go as high as you want.

4 - Go back to MAC Naked pigment and apply some more product on your browbone to blend both colours.

Blend Naked Pigment with The Body Shop Sage
5 - Using The Body Shop Mineral's eyeshadow brush, apply some MAC Nylon on the inner corner of your eyelid.

6 - Using the same brush, apply MAC Retro-Speck on the outer corner

7 - Using The Body Shop Eyeshadow Blender Brush, blend all harsh lines

This is how it should be looking so far:

8 - To add some sparkle to this look, I am going to add some fine glitter. A glitter gel will make it easier for the glitter to adhere to your eyelid. Apply some Winpernwelle Glimmer & Glitter Fixier Gel onto the eyelids only.

9 - Using an eyeshadow brush from The Body Shop, apply some Fine Glitter Dust from Barry M No15 called Gold Iridescence

Barry M Fine Glitter Dust (15) Gold Iridescence

10 - Using an eyeliner brush from No7, apply Bobbi Brown gel liner in black, lining close to your upper lash line.

This is how it should be looking so far:

11- Next, using Smokey Eyeliner Brush from No7, apply some Nylon from MAC on the lower lash line

12 - To add some definition, apply MAC Smolder eye kohl on the waterline

13 - Finish the look by applying some mascara and you are done!

Hope you had as much fun as I had doing this look!

Cheapsmells Website Review

I couldn't resist to splurge when I saw that Cheapsmells were having a Sale.

Cheapsmells have amazing product prices already, on a clearance, products were almost free! I've added to my basket amazing goodies.

The whole purchasing process went quite smooth. They dispatched my items on the next working day. As I live in Ireland, I was expecting my delivery to arrive quite quickly. Every single day I was checking the post to see if my new "toys" had arrived, as I couldn't wait to start playing with my new makeup items.

After a week, I sent an email to their customer service as I started to get quite worried. Items from the UK usually arrives here within 2-5 days at the latest.

Their customer service contacted me very quickly and told me I had to wait 14 days before contacting them back in regards to a non-delivery.

Well... 14 days passed and I was getting quite annoyed. I was worried the site was a scam.

The girls from Cheapsmells were helpful when I called them on the 14th day.

They sent me the tracking number (I wish they had sent me that on my first contact) so I could check myself were my item was. For my surprise, the item had arrived in Ireland on the 3 days after my purchase, on a completely different city (although the address on the package was correct, the guy on the post office read it to me over the phone) and the package was sent back to Cheapsmells 5 days after the first delivery "attempt".

I sent a note back to Cheapsmells, notifying them the item was actually sent back. They told me they didn't receive any packages back and if they were to try to fulfil my order, most of the items would be missing as they were currently out of stock. Cheapsmells were to contact me on the following day with a resolution.

They didn't answer me back as promised, so I had to contact them again in order to get a feedback. Their response was that I should wait until 1st of September as it can take up to 28 days for them to receive products back. They could give me a refund if I wish. The problem was that I didn't really wanted a refund... I wanted my purchase! I did take the refund as I was sure the package had gone missing.

I am very unhappy with this whole experience. I wish Cheapsmells tried harder to make me happy and keep me as a happy customer.

I understand the main problem was with the post office here in Ireland, but I wish Cheapsmells tried a bit harder to help me.

Have any of you guys had a good/bad experience with Cheapsmells too? I'd love to hear.

ROC E-Pulse Sublime Energy - Launch mid-September

ROC is launching from 14th of September a new skincare range that claims to provide visible results in 3 hours.

This new technology is called electro-stimulation. It creates low level of micro-currents to help rejuvenate the skin. The eye, day and night cream are a 2 step skincare solution. You need to use the gray coloured serum first, and then the cream on top. When you mix both formulas together, they activate thousands of electrical pulses, to help regenerate the skin.

I had the chance to sample the eye cream and I was quite impressed by it.

How to use:

Step 1: Eye activating serum

Using your finger tip, apply the activating serum to the complete eye contour area, including eyelids and below eyebrows. Gently massage into skin. This serum has a strange gray colour, but it feels very smooth.

Step 2: Eye Beautifying Creme

Apply a layer of the beautifying creme, over the serum, to the same areas. When done, place the serum and the creme back into the holder for easy storage. For best results, use in conjunction with the rest of the range.

I also received from ROC three products to try. I still haven't had the chance to try them properly as I am currently using something else. First impressions are good, but I can only do a proper review once I start using them on its own for at least a month.

I'll keep you posted once I start using them!

I have only seen this product available at Hickeys Pharmacies. They have an special offer at the moment. You can buy the eye cream for €39.95 (normal RRP is €49.95) and the face cream for €49.95 (normal RRP is €59.95)

Transforming Eyeshadow Tutorial - From sheer to Bold!

I can't believe I've never tried this shimmery shadows from The Body Shop before... they are simply gorgeous!

You have two eyeshadows in one. Using it without a base, they are very sheer and natural. With a dark base, they completely transform into a bold colour! I'm thinking about publishing a series of tutorials using these eyeshadows, as I am absolutely in love with them! I end up buying the whole collection on my last visit to the shop! :)

1 - I started applying a neutral base, MAC painterly paint pot with my fingers. You can use any other primer of your choice.

2 - Then, I've used the light shade of Estee Lauder 04 Sage on the brow bone as a highlighter colour, using a The Body Shop eyeshadow brush

3 - Using a blender brush from No7, I used Quarry from MAC on the crease. Apply the shadow using a windshield wiper motion.

4 - Using an eyeshadow brush, apply The Body Shop Shimmer Eyeshadow 07 Emerald on your eye lids, using a patting motion. I used a The Body Shop eyeshadow brush.

5 - Line your waterline with a dark green colour or black eyeliner. I used a discontinued eyeliner (sorry!) from The Body Shop in dark green

6 - Using a pencil brush from MAC (219), I smudged the liner and applied some quarry on the outer corner of the lower lash line and some emerald on the inner corner

If you are looking for a wearable subtle green look, you can finish off your eye make up here by applying some mascara onto your lashes. This is a great day look. Depending on the light, this eyeshadow will show off some sheen and natural colour or green shimmer.

7 - To transform your eyeshadow, you just need to apply any dark base. This works very well with any black eyeliner. I used the same dark green eyeliner on my eye lids. You don't have to worry about being perfect as you will smudge this line.

You can already see how the eyeshadow transforms itself when using a dark base!

8 - Using the same MAC pencil brush, smudge the eyeliner, bringing the colour upwards

9 - Apply mascara, refresh your foundation and concealer and you are done!

And then, pictures of the final look! Notice how different the colour looks!

And the look below is a very similar look, but using Inglot white gel liner on the eye lid as base and a Urban Decay purple eyeliner as a base on the lower lashes

The Body Shop Eye Shimmer 03 Pink

Hope you guys enjoyed!!

Let me know if you have any of the shimmer colours from this collection and if you do, how do you use it?

Thanks for stopping by!
